Friends & Direction

Choose friends who are going the same direction you are

When you are going on a long journey, it’s easier when you have friends with you. This is true both in our walk with Christ and in whatever work God has called us to in this season.

Mothers need to spend time with and be encouraged by other mothers. And not necessarily mothers who are in the same season, but mothers who are of the same mindset.

As I work on my art business, I need to spend time with others who care about it for the same reasons I do. Not necessarily just other business owners, although that is helpful for comparing methods and strategy, but I need to spend time with other believers who share my “why” and care about the people I am trying to reach.

Certainly there’s a time and place to invest in those who have little to offer you in return. But if we only spend time with those who need us, then we will never realize the nourishment of working alongside those who can pull us along.

Choose friends who are going the same direction you are. Look for ways to encourage them and you will find yourself encouraged.
